What is NET exam
The full form of the Net is a National Eligibility Test. This is a national level exam. NET is conducted for good quality lecturer and quality researchers in the country.
There are two main proposals for this exam. 1- lecturership, 2 research. because a country develops on the basis of a good lecturer and researcher. Until scientists do not develop new technologies in the country, it becomes difficult to develop the country.

Lecturership: The net lecturership NET (LS) exam is cleared to get a job in senior college and university. Which is called NET (LS).
Research: If you want to make your career in the research industry, your interest is in research and if you want to become a scientist, then it is necessary to crack the Net. Which is called Net (JRF).
You can give the NET exam in 3 ways. For (1) NET LS, (2) NET JRF, or (3)both. Whenever you go to fill the form for NET, select both options to give both types of exams. So that you can make your best career in research along with lectureship.
- For the net exam, a master’s degree is required to pass with 55%.
- You can also apply for this exam in the last year of the master’s degree.
- For (JRF) Junior Research Fellowship candidate should not be more than 28 years at the time of examination.
- There is no upper age limit for Assistant Professor.

- CSIR NET EXAM
- UGC NET EXAM
CSIR and UGC both have different streams. If you have stream science then you can give the NET CSIR exam. If you have stream commerce or arts, then you have to clear the UGC NET exam.
CSIR NET exam: This exam can be given after science stream master degree like m.sc, m.e
UGC NET Exam: This exam can be given after commerce or arts streams after masters degree, such as m.a, m.com, m.ba
